Okay, First Real Post
Okay, I’m gearing up to launch my blog here. Still working out some how-to bugs on my side and I know I’m going to change the page design to something more friendly, but at least I can get the gears turning here and make changes as we go.
I want to use this blog to keep you up to date on things as I prepare for a very exciting year. With only 6 issues left in Strangers In Paradise, I’m working hard to try and make the remaining chapters the best. The final issue, #90, is scheduled for May 2007. We’re booking more appearances next year than we’ve ever done before and we’ll be on the road most of the year promoting the series. I’ll post the schedule here and on the SiP site soon.
I also intend to make an announcement in this blog about the question I’m most asked these days… “What’s next?” I want to wait until later in the year to do that so we can focus on SIP for now. All I can tell you for now is I am very excited about the future.
As of today, well tonight actually, Oct. 2, I am working on page 9 of issue 85. On the calendar I was supposed to finish this issue last week, so you can see I am running behind and trying to catch up (meaning, late nights and too much caffeine). It’s not always easy to get in the zone for days on end in order to make a decent story, so many distractions and real world responsibilities. But Robyn and I have a great routine at home that gives me the best life style possible for my weird job. And I have a Raymond Chandler quote next to my drawing table that acts as my mantra: “The more you reason, the less you create.” No problem. Reason has never been my forte anyway.
