Over the weekend I drew the cover art to Spiderman Loves Mary Jane #5. The editors got first look at it today. You get the first public sneak peek now.

Speaking of Mary Jane, my pals at Marvel like the new MJ story so much they’ve decided to do a big push for the series. As part of this, the first issue has been posted online for free. Here’s a link to the article:

When Trevor can’t sleep, he gets on his computer and fiddles with Photoshop. On a recent sleepless night he painted over the new Francine poster art (see previous post for more info on this pic and why you can buy the original art). I’ve never wished insomnia on anyone before but this is just too good to pass up.

You know, somebody becomes famous in their youth, looking great, then they fall from the public eye and decades later you wonder, what ever happened to so and so? Then you see a recent photo and you say, “OMG, who is that?! No way!” Sad but true, time screws us all. Case in point…

Holy smokes, that new cover is just too damned cute! Seriously though, pigtails, fuzzy bunny slippers, a smiley face mug, and a journal? That is perfect. I think my favorite part is the 60’s-ish modern art styling alarm clock for some reason.
And now I get to read the first ish for free, it’s a good day even if I’m still getting over food poisoning, have a sprained ankle, and coming down with a cold (it’s been a crappy 10 days or so).
I LLLLOOVE the SMLMJ #5 cover, it looks so great! You’re a great cover artist, as well as interiors. But covers always have that special look. That Francine looks great too, nice coloring! And what the hell happened to that fat David statue?!
Also, there’s an interview with you Terry in the comic “Marvel Spotlight: New Ways To Die.” It’s 2 pages of text, and a 3rd page has art. Looks good!
Hya, Terry… Remember that girl from Brazil you posted about not long ago?
The one who fan-colored this?
Well, she DID IT AGAIN!!!
