Dreams are often weird and the lack of sound gives it a spookier feel while the dialogue makes it more comical. It's drawn in such a way that you can figure out everything that's happening clearly without the dialogue. Plus, Francine's silent scream is quite haunting in that last dream panel. Then the sound of the thunder wakes her up to the noise of reality. (Well, an imagined future reality. You know what I mean! LOL) I think it works on both levels. It just boils down to which way you like it better. I'm not sure if fans would feel slighted. The pocket books have some different parts from the regular trades. (Like the music lyrics swap in places.) I'm actually looking forward to getting the Omnibus to see what changes are made there.
